Ok, you are restarting httpd (>service httpd restart) after making each of these changes? I know that's a stupid question but sometimes its the obvious things! ;-)

Have you made changes to any other files whilst trying to troubleshoot this problem? (i.e. httpd.conf, blueonyx.conf)
