[BlueOnyx:01990] GUI will not power down or reboot

Both "Reboot Now" and "Shutdown" on the Systems Settings / Power page look like they work successfully. I get the correct warning dialog and then a page saying "The server appliance is now rebooting. It should be available again in a few minutes."

But neither command actually does anything to the server.

In case it helps, please note that typing reboot in a console has the desired effect.

Any ideas what could be wrong?

Any logs to check or tests to run?
