[BlueOnyx:01995] Preview Site Configuration

Is it just me or does Preview Site Configuration never seem to work?

I've tried every combination and permutation I can think of for
http://ServerName/VsiteName/ but it never works.

 In the /var/log/httpd/error_log I get this:

[Aug 10 19:01:20 2009] [error] [client <ip address>] File does not
exist: /home/.sites/28/site1/web/websitename

/etc/httpd/conf/vhosts/preview seems to contain the right information
for the preview:

Alias /websitename/ /home/.sites/106/site3/web/
<Directory /home/.sites/106/site3/web>
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php4
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
AddHandler cgi-wrapper .cgi
AddHandler cgi-wrapper .pl
AddHandler server-parsed .shtml
AddType text/html .shtml

</Directory>

I've only found one other issue about this in the list (
http://www.blueonyx.it/pipermail/blueonyx/2009-May/001195.html ) and
they seem to have the same issue and no one answered them. Is this a
known problem that it doesn't work? Or am I doing it wrong?
