Yeah, it should boot into the updated kernel automatically. But even if not, 
it'll do no harm by booting an older one by default. You can see it after the 
reboot when you type "uname -r". That will show the version number of the 
running kernel. If it shows the wrong one, you can quickly change it by 
editing /boot/grub/grub.conf and rebooting again.
