Oooh, bad. If the RPM database shows a certain RPM twice, then do NOT just 
delete that RPM.

Choose the one with the older version and use this command instead:

rpm -e --justdb rpm-name-version-release

That will just remove the double entry from the RPM database, but not from the 
filesystem.
