I'm not sure about the issues since I haven't had a lot of time to put into
it yet. I was thinking about installing it on some other hardware in case
there was a quark with the hardware.

Im not sure about the password issue, but I have not had any problems with
the FTP, MySQL, or DNS servers. I installed it on VMware workstation 6.5.
