I can only second what Michael Aronoff said: Miva Merchant is "a blast from
the past". If they have something that works on CentOS 5 or RHEL5, then it
will run on BlueOnyx, too.
However, their shop has always been a very intransparent and proprietory mess,
which binds you to whatever OS or server you're installing it on. It's not
really portable. It doesn't even survive getting migrated through CMU, which
is kinda hilarious.
There is a seemingly endless number of shopping cart solutions around. Some
are free, some cost some money, others cost a fortune. Can't really make any
recommendation there, as it all depends on the kind of business and what kind
of features your client expects.
But this may be the perfect time to possibly make the switch to something
that's easier to maintain (and to migrate!) in the long haul.
