This has been discussed already but in case you're new to the list, the 
"short answer" is "NO".

The more complicated answer is "Sort of".  Common wisdom is there is not 
a lot of point to having to upgrade a running box (since there is a lot 
of risk) when you can very easily CMU to a fresh install (always the 
cleaner option).
