You might not have that package installed in that case.

Use RPM to find if you have it and where it is.  "rpm -qa | grep magic" should show that package name if you have it.  (By the way - my new BlueOnyx server loaded last night doesn't have it). 

After you find the package name, use "rpm -ql packagename | more" to see the files in that pagckage and where they are located.
