FYI - I have checked the cobaltBase.xml on the (now working) install  
and it does indeed read 5106R

So I think your idea will fix this problem if anyone else has it.

This is a really quite dangerous problem - I was getting 'Successful'  
emails / reports from raqbackup - and didn't think to check to make  
sure the vsites were included. It was only until I needed to get a  
file off the site from a backup... that I realized it was not there!

That was not a nice feeling!

So everyone - I recommend you check your vsites are backing up just in  
case!

But I think if you are on the latest set of RPMs you are OK.
