Hi,

We would like to use htaccess on a blueonyx site,

We used in the past a trick that allowed us to authenticate site admins to
enter a directory,

the htaccess contents were

#Access file
AuthType Basic
AuthName AccesoRestringido
AuthExternal pwauth
require valid-user

It asks for the password but it wont authenticate, Found a post that says
that htaccess works diferently and a suggestion to allowoverideall for
apache,

is that really necesary? I dont want my users to upload an htaccess that
screws up apache

Logs Complain with this message
access to /privado failed, reason: verification of user id
'rodrigotest' not configured

Regards
