The limiting factor at the moment is Grub's inability to boot off volumes 
larger than 2TB on 32-bit Linux systems. So use disks smaller than 2TB for the 
OS. But you can mount larger volumes than that if needed.

No, Samba works fine on BlueOnyx. Just install it through yum and configure it 
manually.
