I have DFix 1.6 & also DenyHost 2.6.0.  Over all im attacks are not as bad as they have been in the pased.  Due to DFix & Denyhost & also the new setting under login manager.  I hope that wait ever is tying to get into my php will see that I have nothing & will stop.  I do not like to see anything in a 404 code if i can help it.
