Why wasted?
I sure need it for big MySQL buffers and 200mb per httpd processes...
Depends on what type of sites one is hosting I would say.

The 16GB RAM will likely be wasted on a BlueOnyx hosting device.

In our production hosting farm, we're running dual-core 3.4Ghz machines 
(4MB cache), dual 1TB's (HW RAID1) and 4GB RAM.  Our boxes average 
around 4Mbps throughout the day with 150-200 domains on them and don't 
break a sweat.
