update:
ok, I have managed to put /lib back but i have a host of other issues.
Including no login and no I can get access to the latest data
sites/mysql etc from livecd.
I have also subsequently discovered that the latest backup is banjaxed.
If I create a new BO server, is there anyway I can rebuild the sites and
gui data from the existing files on the old server?
To clarify, I can copy or rsync the required data from one server to
another - I am not expecting this to be easy if at all possible
