Nah, it is some IE *CRAZY*.
IE refuses to cache anything coming in over SSL. When you launch an
external app to open a file downloaded via IE, IE passes on the path to
the cached copy. In this case, the cached copy doesn't exist.
It's crazy, but there are workarounds.
