That looks pretty standard for a BX installation.  Here's from a 
brand-new "virgin" install (no 3rd party pkgs/apps):

[admin at bx1 ~]$ ls -lah /etc/mail | grep "smmsp"
-rw-r-----  1 smmsp root   12K Jan 26 01:01 access.db
-rw-r-----  1 smmsp smmsp  12K Jan 29 10:31 aliases.db
-rw-r-----  1 smmsp smmsp  12K Jan 29 10:31 aliases.majordomo.db
-rw-r-----  1 smmsp root   12K Jan 26 01:01 mailertable.db
-rw-r-----  1 smmsp root   40K Jan 26 00:25 virtusertable.db
