Michael,

It appears that when suPHP is enabled the open_basedir doesn't get parsed
correctly:

With suPHP enabled:

    /tmp/:/var/lib/php/session/

Without suPHP disabled:

    /tmp/:/var/lib/php/session/:/home/.sites/2/site87/
