The PAE kernel supports 64 GB of RAM. Install it via yum if you're running the
standard kernel.
> Why is it taking such a long time to build the raid
11 days for 2TB? That's too long. Make sure your disks are not configured to
run in the IDE compatability mode, because that'll cut them down to like
1/10th of the speed that they're capable of. You can check those settings in
the BIOS - also consult your motherboard manual for this.
> Why the high load on the CPU? Is it related to the raid?
Yeah, if you're using software RAID, then increased load during a RAID resync
is expected.
