[root at cbx web]# ldd /usr/sbin/httpd|grep apr
        libaprutil-1.so.0 => /usr/lib/libaprutil-1.so.0 (0x00d07000)
        libapr-1.so.0 => /usr/lib/libapr-1.so.0 (0x00801000)

[root at cbx web]# rpm -q --whatprovides /usr/lib/libapr-1.so.0
apr-1.2.7-11.el5_3.1

Sounds like the RPM "apr" wasn't installed. 

Try to fix it with "yum install apr".

"apr" and "apr-util" are part of the CD, so maybe this was another case of bad 
CD, bad download or other glitch.
