Never mind... using /sbin/hdparm...
[root at box1 admin]# /sbin/hdparm -tT /dev/sda
/dev/sda:
Timing cached reads: 3824 MB in 2.00 seconds = 1912.19 MB/sec
Timing buffered disk reads: 176 MB in 3.01 seconds = 58.52 MB/sec
[root at box1 admin]# /sbin/hdparm -tT /dev/sdb
/dev/sdb:
Timing cached reads: 3688 MB in 2.00 seconds = 1843.46 MB/sec
Timing buffered disk reads: 196 MB in 3.01 seconds = 65.12 MB/sec
[root at box1 admin]# /sbin/hdparm -tT /dev/sdc
/dev/sdc:
Timing cached reads: 3684 MB in 2.00 seconds = 1842.33 MB/sec
Timing buffered disk reads: 148 MB in 3.86 seconds = 38.37 MB/sec
[root at box1 admin]# /sbin/hdparm -tT /dev/sdd
/dev/sdd:
Timing cached reads: 3692 MB in 2.00 seconds = 1847.32 MB/sec
Timing buffered disk reads: 166 MB in 3.00 seconds = 55.33 MB/sec
I'm using laptop drives in my box... lowly 5400 RPM 2.5" 320 GB drives...
