In the freezer?!?!?!? Certainly not, that is likely to do more damage 
than good IMHO...

What sometimes works however is to put a drive into a fridge for a 
couple of hours, sealed in a ziploc bag with a couple of those silica 
gel packs, so that no moisture gets to the drive itself.
