I have a customer machine running 5108R with a / (root) partition that
is getting full:

# df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/mapper/VolGroup00-root
                       6.0G 5.2G 473M 92% /
tmpfs 7.8G 0 7.8G 0% /dev/shm
/dev/md0 485M 79M 381M 18% /boot
/dev/mapper/VolGroup00-home
                       214G 33G 171G 17% /home
/dev/mapper/VolGroup00-tmp
                       2.0G 70M 1.9G 4% /tmp
/dev/mapper/VolGroup00-var
                       4.0G 1.9G 1.9G 50% /var

I have tried running down where the space is being consumed, or what the
space is consumed with, and I haven't been able to narrow it down.

This is new behavior for me. I've not seen it before on 5108R.

Ideas of where to look / how to proceed are welcomed.

Thanks!
