Do you mean BlueQuartz or BlueOnyx.  You wrote "BQ" but I'm assuming you actually mean BX since this is the BX list, not for BlueQuartz (which is EOL'd and should not be used anyhow).

Funny, I've never had a problem with WordPress installs.   Run the site 
in su-php, set web ownership to the site admin user, set up the database with correct permissions, FTP the package to the server, run the installer.  Done in about 3 minutes.
