[BlueOnyx:12807] Active monitor malfunction

To be fair, this is not BlueOnyx's fault.   A customer installed 
RPMForge repos on a new 5108R installation which had the predictable 
result of trashing many of BlueOnyx's functions.

It appears we have now managed to get everything functioning again by 
removing all of the packages installed by RPMForge and then 
re-installing several of BlueOnyx's packages.

Now ActiveMonitor has 2 problems:
#1: It shows SMTP server as not running.  However, SMTP server is, in 
fact, running and responsive.

#2: FTP monitoring is completely missing.  It's not even in the list of 
services to be monitored.

Any input is appreciated.
