It's looking for the *-devel RPMs of various things. OpenSSL is
installed, but usually openssl-devel isn't. That can all be remedied
with YUM:

yum install openssl-devel

You need to know what alse you're needing and grab that, too. For
compiling stuff you usually need:

automake autoconf gcc diff cpp gcc imake

Plus the *-devel RPMs of whatever you're compiling against.
