Q: Lew Berry: would the 'wrench' be right next to the socket ?
To recap:
in my routers 'DHCP Settings' page:
LAN IP address: 192.168.0.1
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
DHCP: 192.168.0.2 to: 254
max users: 253
Lease time: 1hr
---
My main PC connects to: 192.168.0.2
So: I set the P3 server to:
static IP: 192.168.0.100
netmask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.0.1
...which connects OK, and it shows up as an'attached device' in the router)
So I unplugged the P3 and:
Set the Dell server to the same settings as P3 above, and pluged it in:
...didnt work, and it DOSEN'T show up as an'attached device' in the router)
So I changed the Dell's 'static IP' to: 192.168.0.110
...didnt work, and it DOSEN'T show up as an'attached device' in the router)
So I changed it back again.
Thanks.
