Jeffrey,

Do you have a php.ini in your home dir? In the default path? (echo $PATH)? If do rename or delete it. Just a guess and a scar left on my back from a few years ago. Hope this helps.

	Thanks,

Subject: [BlueOnyx:13232] Open basedir issues with new install

Hi Guys,
I'm experiencing some problems with open basedir on a brand new install of BO on an Aveturine box over at Chris's. This was a fresh install with the sites exported from the old box and imported to the new one. I am understating the difficulty Chris had here - I'm surprised he's still talking to me really.
To give an example of the issue - I have a php heavy site which is working fine, except that when I try to run a file on that site from a cron I get an open basedir error. I have tried this either as siteadmin or as root. The GUI for the site says that the open basedir is open OK.
So I go to the GU for the BO install and add the site/web folder to the open basedir box and click OK. The setting I have just made disappears from the GUI but is there in the php.ini. And everything works.
On to site two - same software and same problem. I go to the Server Admin GUI and add the site/web folder to the open basedir box, click OK and the settings disappear. Site two now works, site one stops working. In the php.ini the open basedir statement for site 1 has vanished.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Regards
Jeffrey
