Have you reviewed the actual headers sent by the webserver?

Is Apache redirecting you or is it perhaps your cache? Also confirm ip with
a ping to sitename.com and www.sitename.com

Hit F12 in your browser and start logging your request.

I have a site that works just fine as  www.sitename.com 

but when you hit the site at sitename.com it redirects to another site on
the server. 

I've reviewed the configuration and nothing looks different between the
different sites I have.
