Thanks for the quick response Michael -- worked like a charm.

"openssl version -a" produces:

OpenSSL 1.0.1e-fips 11 Feb 2013
built on: Mon Apr 7 23:06:04 CDT 2014
platform: linux-elf
options: bn(64,32) md2(int) rc4(1x,char) des(ptr,risc1,16,long) idea(int)
blowfish(idx)
compiler: gcc -fPIC -DOPENSSL_PIC -DZLIB -DOPENSSL_THREADS -D_REENTRANT
-DDSO_DLFCN -DHAVE_DLFCN_H -DKRB5_MIT -DL_ENDIAN -DTERMIO -Wall -O2 -g -pipe
-Wall -Wp,-D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2 -fexceptions -fstack-protector
--param=ssp-buffer-size=4 -m32 -march=i686 -mtune=atom

-DRMD160_ASM -DAES_ASM -DVPAES_ASM -DWHIRLPOOL_ASM -DGHASH_ASM
OPENSSLDIR: "/etc/pki/tls"

The build date is 4-7-14, but it's still 1.0.1e from 2-11-13
Does this mean that it is a vulnerable version?

Sorry if this has been addressed earlier, but due to the potential
seriousness I'd like to be sure.
Prior to the YUM the build date was 1-8-14, with the same version.

Pulling up an SSL-enabled site doesn't produce any errors.

Hi Adam,

Yes. Please do this:

You should have one of these directories at the stage you're currently at:

ls -la /var/cache/yum/i386/6.*/Solarspeed.net-AVSPAM-v51/packages/*.rpm

Change into the directory where these RPMs are and run this command:

rpm -hUv --force *.rpm

Afterwards you should be able to "yum update".

You might also want to run this command:

/usr/sausalito/sbin/rpm-clean-duplicates.pl

You may or may not have it. It is part of a recent base-swupdate-* RPM.
Run it at the end of your "yum update" marathon. It will check your RPM
database for duplicates. If it finds them, it will show you the commands
you can run to clean up that mess.

If you do, be sure to do another "yum update" afterwards.
