I see. In that case I would suggest a PHP upgrade to at least 5.3.28.

However: Please note that PHP-5.3 is EOL and it would be better to
install PHP-5.4 or PHP-5.5 instead.

RoundCube will work better with a PHP newer than PHP-5.3.3 and if you
choose 5.3.28 you don't have to worry about the upgrade breaking
compatibility of other PHP scripts that you have installed.
