I have no objection in theory, but that time line seems a little aggressive. 

Since the AV-SPAM is not even out yet that will not leave much time for in house testing.

I would prefer to see November 2014.

Also what will happen to software packages that are not compatible with the new GUI. Will they still work but lose the GUI? That I can live with.
