[BlueOnyx:14785] Smart Relay email host vanishing after updates

So, what am I doing wrong?  I have my smart relay host set in my 
BlueOnyx config, but it seems that every time an update comes in that 
effects sendmail.cf or sendmail.mc, I have to figure out that an update 
has happened, and then go modify the sendmail.mc manually.  Why can't 
the process notice that there's a smart relay host set up, and update 
the modified config files correctly?

It's not always obvious right away that updates have been installed 
automatically and that things need to be checked, until email bounces 
and users call to complain on something that had worked the day before.

Given the rash of updates recently, this has become more of an issue as 
when things hadn't been updated in a while.

Any suggestions much appreciated!
