[BlueOnyx:14281] openwebmail issue

i have one user that cannot log into openwemail. When he does he gets the
following error:

Couldn't get read lock on db
/home/.sites/35/site106/.users/57/dwilcock/.openwebmail/db/Trash

I found a posting at
http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.linux.devices.blueonyx.user/9741 with
similar issues which also suggest the issue was resolved with an update in
2012. Other users on his domain works fine.

any idea on how to fix the problem.
