Unless you’ve purchased an update/special version, BX follows CentOS versions for PHP. I wouldn’t panic too much about the security fixes, quite often CentOS will back-port security fixes into their older/supported versions, so the PHP in CentOS might be version 5.3.3 (for example - I’ve not checked what it is currently) and have security fixes from 5.3.4.
