this isn't actually a BlueOnyx issue.  It's one of the upstream (RHEL). 
  The vendor doesn't update the version, it just keeps the current 
versions patched.

So what we do is recommend that if you need a newer version of PHP, get 
it here:
http://shop.blueonyx.it/blueonyx/system/php.html

Just give it a purchase and then install through NewLinq.  At the 
install screen you can then select from the PHP 5.3x or PHP 5.4x branches.
