It's your server, so you can certainly do what you suggested to do.

I just indicated that I won't be doing it globally for all BlueOnyx
servers. Because I think it's a bad idea to fiddle with config files
just because some PHP programmer was lazy. If that programmer had used
SMTP-Auth instead we wouldn't have this discussion. ;-)
