BFD was part of the Solarspeed Security Package and APF Firewall. It got
retired in the latest version of it and we now recommend to use Dfix2
instead.

Check if /etc/cron.d/bfd is there. That's usually the cronjob for it.
You can either delete it or comment the contends out.
