[BlueOnyx:16186] BlueOnyx-5208R-SL-6.5-20140824 pear error

Hi All!

in the same new brand installation of BlueOnyx-5208R-SL-6.5-20140824 as 
the preceding email, i have found a problem with pear:

trying to execute
pear config-set preferred_state beta

i get the error:
open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/usr/share/pear/PEAR.php) is 
not within the allowed path(s): 
(/tmp/:/usr/sausalito/configs/php/:/var/lib/php/session/)

to override this i have to insert
/usr/share/pear/

in the security -> PHP settings -> Open Basedir (Vsite)

Is it possible to have it by default or the parameter has some 
consequences that i am ignoring?
