[BlueOnyx:16053] Basic DNS stuff

I'm moving 250 odd secondary DNS records from an old BQ box to a box
we have with Chris at Virtbiz.

I've used dns-import-slavezones.pl which pulled everything nicely into the GUI

but the server does not respond.

Tried a reboot, then dnsDeleteAllRecords.pl and entered the secondard
zone details manually for a test domain (redsys.com) however, the BO
box still doesn't appear to respond.

Am I doing something clueless?  I don't get to fiddle with such stuff
much these days, and fear I'm getting rusty / dementia!
