[BlueOnyx:18161] local php pecl is not working on 5209R

Hello,

I tried to install apcu with pecl an a 5209R installation (wie default PHP).
First I had to add /usr/share/pear/ to open_basedir
But afterwards pecl did not talk to me. 
I can call it but no response, no info why it is not working.
Do you have any ideas?
