For this to work you need A Records in the DNS for both "www.domain.com"
and just "domain.com"

If the Vsite is named "www.domain.com" in the Vsite list, then you also
must set "domain.com" as "Web Server Alias". If you want it to work for
email as well, you also set "domain.com" as "Email Server Alias".
