No, that's not possible.  5208R is based on RHEL6 and 5209R is RHEL7. 
I would say it's like the difference between going from 5106R (RHEL5, 32 
bit) to 5107R (RHEL6, 32 bit), but the truth is that it's much worse.

The only migration path from one to the other is going to be via CMU.
