Tried that one, killall gives cced: no process killed.
Still getting:
[root] /etc/init.d/cced.init status
Cced dead but subsys locked

Admserv is running but can not connect, httpd will not start as it seems
that ssl uses cced

Syntax error on line 5 of /etc/httpd/conf.d/ssl_perl.conf:
connect: Connection refused\t(in cleanup) Could not connect to
/usr/sausalito/cced.socket: Connection refused\n

don¹t see anything strange in any logfile..

Yes, you're correct CMU requires CCED.

Try issuing:
service cced.init stop
killall -9 cced
service cced.init start

Then see if it is running?
