We have the following PHP packages in the store for all BlueOnyx versions:

PHP-5.3 (latest, but EOL)
PHP-5.4 (latest)
PHP-5.5 (latest)

For BlueOnyx 5209R we also have:

PHP-5.6 (latest)

Sometime this month I will also publish a 5.6 for all other BlueOnyx
versions. I delayed that so far to give 5.6 some time to mature.

BlueOnyx 5209R is the first BlueOnyx where you can install multiple PHP
PKGs at the same time. Even all of them if you want to. You can then
decide on a per site level which PHP version that site should use.

On the older BlueOnyx versions you can only install one PHP package and
this is then used for all Vsites.

Regardless of BlueOnyx versions: If you buy the PHP package in our store
you get access to each and any PHP version that is the most current at
the date of the purchase. If you buy the package with 30 days or one
year of support, then you also get all updated PHP versions that are
released within that timeframe. As PHP is updated quite frequently and
the updates are usually security relevant it is recommended the buy the
subscription to get access to the updates.

At any time you can install or uninstall a PHP version and can switch to
different ones.

I usually discourage that as it's not that easy to do it in a way that
it won't break BlueOnyx.

A compiled PHP distribution is somewhat extensible via PECL, which is
usually the best way to extend it without breaking things.

What functions or features would you need which we're missing? I'd love
to hear that so that I can include it in our PHP builds.
