[BlueOnyx:18482] Problem with aventurine VPS sendmail and hosts file

Hi all,
i am experincing this problem: i have an aventurine box with one VPS in 
it (the vps is 5106R).
The problem is that the VPS, after a reboot, is sending out emails as 
localhost.localdomain

Looking at /etc/hosts file it looks like:

While, looking into a backup, the file looked like this:

if i replace the file and restart sendmail all goes ok.
if i reboot the vps the file gets scrumbled again...

Any suggestions?
