Yeah, fortunately here at the datacenter in Dallas we don't have those 
concerns because we have a great deal of redundancy.

However, that doesn't make anyone immune when there's an issue with the 
server at the far end.   In our case, it results not only in NewLinq 
failing, which is certainly an inconvenience, but also renders some 
functionality completely broken.

For instance, with our newer version of AV-SPAM, we're unable to access 
any of the management screens.  Instead, we're faced with this error:

License verification error: Unable to connect to NewLinQ to verify your 
license and subscription status. Please make sure that your server can 
connect to NewLinQ or contact BlueOnyx support for assistance.


Which means if there's anything we need to adjust within AV-SPAM, we're 
up a creek without a paddle until the NewLinq server can receive the 
kick that it requires.

For the moment, that's an annoyance.   However, should we receive any 
customer issues that require intervention with regard to AV-SPAM, that's 
going to be an impairment to our ability to conduct business.
