Yeah, I just got bitten by this as well. It's an old shell script in the
constructors that creates/modifies /etc/hosts. It's been around since
the CentOS4 days and it is showing its age.

I'll replace it with a Perl script, as I got a bit more confidence in
that for this purpose.
