In all the installs I performed this last week, all of them resulted in the
dummy site still showing afterwards. Not a big deal if it is safe to delete,
however I believe that the dummy site might be a great concept to carry
forward in terms of a best practice.
What I found in my past workings with the BO/BQ/Cobalt platform was that it
was best to create the very first site on the box as something generic so
that requests to the IP address or sites that no longer existed on the box
would hit my default site as site 1 seems to be the site that everything
will go to if nothing else matches. This has always created a weird scenario
in which I have effectively two host names for a box, one for the system
settings and another for the generic website.
Any thoughts?
Jim
