We have seen this a couple times when the kernel on the host node lags 
behind the OS on the guest VPS.   The solution has been to reboot the 
host node.

If you have the ability to first move everything to a standby node and 
can handle a few minutes of downtime on the host node, please open a 
ticket with our support desk because we have your systems earmarked for 
a bit of preventative maintenance we can knock out at the same time.
